Gap Personnel 2025 Ironbridge Weekend Regatta

Welcome to the 2025 Gap Personnel Ironbridge Weekend Regatta! Held on the stunning River Severn at Ironbridge Rowing Club in the UNESCO Ironbridge Gorge on Saturday 28th June and Sunday 29th June 2025. We are delighted to be partnered with Gap Personnel for the third year in a row, whose continued support allows us to put on one of the oldest rowing events in the West Midlands.

Our Ironbridge Pots are made by local Wenlock Potteries and have been designed to resemble the former cooling towers that played witness to our regatta for many years.

Senior crews are awarded a full size pot, and Juniors and Coxes a half size pot.

The Ironbridge Regatta Disco

This year our famous Ironbridge Disco has the theme of 80s Glow Party! So make sure to break open your glow sticks, get your leg warmers out of the draw and join us in your best 80s gear for what promises to be another great night! The party starts at 7pm and is free for all rowers (wrist bands will be in your registration pack on collection from race control).

We again have the fantastic Steve the Mobile DJ who will be playing from 7pm til late so start planning your outfit now!

The Wenlock Olympian Mixed Eights Sprint

This year the Much Wenlock Olympian Society Mixed Eights event will be held on Saturday 28th June in a special Division Three at close of normal racing. Held over 500m a maximum of eight Mixed 8+ will race to be crowned the 2025 Much Wenlock Olympian Champions.

In a winner stays on race format that will consist of 4 Qualifiers, 2 Semi Finals and the grand final the winning crew will be presented by the Much Wenlock Olympian Society a Gold Olympian Medal and £100 in cash. The crew that finishes runner up will be present with a Silver Olympian Medal for all crew members and cox.

Last year we had the great Gillian Lindsay comparing the race and present the medal, to find out who will be presenting this year make sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram for all the latest updates about the regatta.

Entries will be via BROE2, please look out for the special division three. All crews must be a minimum of 50% female as defined by British Rowing.

Entry fee is £12.50 per seat, excluding coxes and payable online before the draw. We will be capping entries at a maximum of eight and the presentation will happen straight after the final.
