On 26th October 2024 we took our Women Masters and Junior Squad to Chester to race over 4000m in the Dee Autumn Head. With boats ranging from Double Sculls to Eights on show team IRC put in a great performance and walked away winners in Junior 18 Double Sculls with even more second places!

It was gold for our Junior 18 Double Scull of T and James as they raced Band 3 sculls in their very first head race ever!

A great performance for the crew as they took the win over second placed Ironbridge J17 2x of Will and Fletcher who were racing up a category in their first head race as well! It promises great results for the season.

It was a strong second place finish for our Women Master C Eight, who were the fastest women C Eight of the day, finishing only second with the handicap and 8 seconds behind! Well done ladies!

We also had great races from our WMas C 2x, our WJ18 2x and WJ17 2x (who had to race up at WJ18!). A good solid Ironbridge performance from everyone and smiles on the way back to Shropshire.
